Endovascular Neurosurgery
The term Endovascular means inside a blood vessel, which uses tools that pass through the blood vessels to diagnose and treat various conditions. Local or regional anesthesia is used to numb the area, small incisions are used most often the artery near groin is used as an access point. Surgeons make punctures into the artery with a needle and then thread small flexible tubes called catheters through the blood vessels to reach the damaged area.

Thrombolytic therapy, Endovascular coiling, Thrombectomy, cerebral angiography , cerebral angioplasty, carotid artery stenting and valve replacement are various procedures under Endovascular surgery. Recently cobalt chromium is taking place as a balloon-expandable stent material, and ninitol as a shape -memory alloy is particularly suited for a self-expanding stent.
